Dr Delphine Bouard, veterinarian and laboratory animal specialist, is Vetsalius surgery expert. Dr Bouard has more than 14 years of experimental surgery experience (developed in small and large animals) and is performing 500 to 200 surgeries per year for more than 12 years. Vetsalius can also recruit others experts (vets, technicians), depending on your specific needs.

Vetsalius can help accelerating the process of your preclinical studies, by:

identifying the optimal surgical technique and perioperative care program

establishing the list of requested material and consumables (for example: catheters, brain cannula, telemetry devices)

helping with surgical suit and team organization, with the objective of optimizing the number of surgeries performed per day

providing useful information and data, helping to communicate with local authorities and/or IACUC

During the project, Vetsalius can provide the requested surgical instruments as well as specific equipment or consumables (for example: surgical microscopes, surgical tools).

Anesthesia and perioperative care could also be handled by Vetsalius. After the surgeries, Vetsalius experts remain at your disposal and can help with post-operative follow-up.
